This historic inn is located in what was at one time the home of Capt. Edward Adkins, Ruark's grandfather. The inn offers the ultimate in intimate and extravagent B&B accomodations while providing you an opportunity to enjoy Southport, NC.

It was here, while Ruark was visiting his grandparents, that many of the impressions, memories and experiences with his grandfather became the basis of "The Old Man and the Boy."
